We talk fitness, food and fashion...

Have you always been into your health and fitness?

I have actually – growing up I played every sport known to man. I later began training for specific events or goals as I got older and now I’ve much about my body through injuries that I respond best to training 4 times a week with a blend of weights and HIIT

What interests you most about cooking?

I guess one of my main motivations is nutrition. Home-cooking ensures I get exactly what my body needs and I know precisely what is in each meal. I also love to trial new recipes which don’t always work out but that is the beauty of it – a tweak here and there works wonders. Cooking for me is also a reason to bring friends together and a time for me and my son to hang.

How do you see the cleaner living way of life evolving in Australia?

The Clean Living mentality or certainly gaining groundswell here in Australia. I’ve had the pleasure of going around the country in the last few years and whether you’re in the country or the city people are investing in the health and becoming more health conscious.

Food sovereignty is also popping up on people’s radar too; increasingly people want to know where their food has come from and how ethical it is.

We still have a long way to go with food education and labelling but I’m happy to say we are heading in the right direction.

What’s your next adventure?

On a work level I’m currently working on an app to help aussie families cook quick, easy, and healthy recipes which is something I’m very passionate about. I’m also lucky enough to be the ambassador of Santa Monica tourism which allows me to travel to LA fairly regularly and spruik Santa Monica to Aussies travelling to USA.

On a personal level, I’m looking to do a big trip to Europe with my son, Tashi, next year.

What’s your go to weekend style?

Well it’s got to be laid back and casual. I am a creature of habit, so for the moment you can catch me in a pair of Nudie jeans, Springcourt shoes and a Blacknoise Whiterain tee.

In Bondi, where do you like to go for?

Food? - Sefa, Bondi Wholefoods, pork at D’orazio.
Coffee? – Bondi Wholefoods
Drinks? – The Cornerhouse
